We report nine patients with hypnic headache according to the HIS-II classificationwho were initially treated with flunarizine. Structural lesion has been rule outperforming brain MRI in all cases. In our opinion flunarizine is a very good alternativein the prophylactic treatment of hypnic headache. The efficacy of flunarizinewas moderate only in one of our patients. According to our patients evolution wethink that flunarizine is a good therapeutic option for hypnic headache, and thelow doses could be enough.
